Ergodic methods inspired by negative curvature
April 24th-26th
Rennes
The meeting will take place in room 16 or the Amphi Lebesgue of the Institut de Recherche Mathématiques de Rennes (Rennes, Université de Rennes 1, Bâtiment 22-23)
Goal
The goal of the meeting is to explore how the ergodic techniques (geodesic flow, Bowen-Margulis, measures, random walks, harmonic measures, etc) which are well known for negatively curved manifold can be adapted in a more general contexts, e.g. Teichmüller space, groups with word metrics, etc.
Mini-courses
"Dynamics of the Teichmüller geodesic flow on moduli space and its covers and applications to counting problems" by Ilya Gekhtman
"Patterson-Sullivan measures and random walk on hyperbolic groups" by Sebastien Gouëzel
Talks
Françoise Pène: Théorèmes limites pour des billards cuspidaux
Camille Horbez: Introduction to outer space
